Chinese convenience store operator Meiyijia has expanded its footprint in Vietnam by partnering with petroleum giant Petrolimex to open two Ohmee Express stores at fuel stations in Hanoi.
Located on Ngoc Hoi and Nguyen Quy Duc streets, the outlets represent the first phase of the collaboration. The move builds on Meiyijia’s April entry into Vietnam, its first overseas market, under the Ohmee brand.
Founded in Guangdong in 1997, Meiyijia operates more than 40,000 convenience stores across China.
The Petrolimex partnership introduces a new fuel-integrated format for Ohmee, offering food, beverages, and daily necessities alongside traditional station services.
Petrolimex deputy general director Nguyen Ngoc Tu stated that the partnership aligns with the company’s strategy to transform traditional stations into multi-service hubs amid ongoing energy transitions and digital shifts.
