The European Investment Bank (EIB) has significantly boosted the debt available for Finnish developer’s e-fuels projects, increasing the financing framework to €680 million.
This increase is part of the EIB's commitment to supporting green hydrogen and e-methane projects in Finland, which are crucial for reducing emissions and promoting sustainable energy solutions.
The financing framework is designed to provide project-level debt financing for Ren-Gas' portfolio of e-methane projects, which includes six decentralized production plants developed in collaboration with local energy utilities.
The first plant in Tampere is targeted to start construction in Q4 2026, marking a significant step in Finland's transition to clean fuels and hydrogen production.
