WashTec recently celebrated the production and delivery of its 1,500th SmartCare, underlining the international success of the compact gantry system, which has become a fixture in the global vehicle wash industry since its market launch.
“The road to today’s success was not smooth from the outset. As with many innovative product launches, the start-up phase presented challenges in production and processes. Thanks to the tremendous commitment of the teams involved, these were successfully overcome. I am truly proud of this,” explains Jörg Mielke, SVP of Global Operations at WashTec.
The SmartCare is now in operation in 31 countries. Most of these are, of course, in Europe, but locations such as Taiwan, the Faroe Islands and Martinique are also included. To date, more than 16 million vehicles have been washed in SmartCare systems worldwide.
A particularly impressive example of the quality of the systems is provided by a SmartCare site that has now washed 79,918 cars. This frontrunner impressively demonstrates the system’s performance and reliability in day-to-day operation.
Looking to the future with optimism
“The 1,500th SmartCare system is a significant milestone for WashTec. It demonstrates how successfully our team has worked together to establish an innovative product on the international market. We are particularly proud of the high level of acceptance amongst our customers and the impressive figure of over 16 million vehicle washes,” said Georg Wimmer, Senior Vice President Business Line Equipment.
