Independent petrol station operators in Belgium are being given the opportunity to stock a ‘quality range’ of own-brand products from supermarket giant Carrefour on their shelves.
To this end, Carrefour and wholesaler Trendy Foods have jointly launched the Shopeez retail concept in Belgium. This gives petrol stations, as well as grocers and night shops, the opportunity to offer a range of Carrefour’s own-brand products whilst retaining their independence.
According to the initiators, the logistics are specifically tailored to smaller outlets: orders can be placed on a per-item basis and deliveries are adapted to small storage spaces.
Carrefour also ensures that the products are displayed as prominently as possible and in the right places. For consumers, this should result in a familiar and affordable range of quality products just around the corner.
