MOL consolidates its position in Romania

MOL Romania has recently opened three new retail stations in Lugoj, Medgidia and Sighetu Marmatiei, as part of its strategy to expand its operational footprint in the country, based on the Group’s confidence in the potential of the local market.

MOL Romania’s retail network thus reaches 239 units. Two more filling stations are currently under construction, and the MOL network is also set to expand along the A7 Moldova Motorway, where the company has secured the concession for the first two service stations.

In addition, five filling stations operating under the Key Partner concept, the Group’s newly launched model based on MOL’s cooperation with independent filling station operators, are also operational in the country and the network will continue to grow.

MOL Romania is committed to bringing its services closer to drivers and businesses through continued investment across the country, while further strengthening its nationwide presence. In its 31 years of presence on the local market, these have reached almost 390 million Euros.

The three new MOL stations recently opened feature state-of-the-art formats incorporating the latest Fresh Corner 2.0 gastro concept, designed to offer customers a comprehensive experience aligned with new consumption trends. High-flow fuel pumps for B2B customers operating heavy-duty vehicles are available at all the new stations.

The MOL Lugoj station is a multifunctional service hub featuring pumps for EVO 95, EVO Diesel, EVO 100 Plus and EVO Diesel Plus fuels, as well as a high-speed pump offering EVO Diesel and AdBlue, and a JetWash car wash. The new station also features the Fresh Corner 2.0 concept, the latest evolution of MOL Group’s gastro platform. It responds to the changing customer expectations of filling stations, which are increasingly seen as convenience retail and rest stops, as well as places to eat and drink, rather than simply as refuelling points.
