Carrefour Polska launches new store concept for petrol stations

Carrefour has launched a new franchise store concept for petrol station operators in Poland.

The new store concept has been designed on the lines of Orange Carrefour Express convenience stores. The stores are further customised as 'housing estate' or 'transit', based on their location.

The outlets offer around 400 to 800 products, which are in demand at petrol stations. The new format also offers a wide range of services, including coffee machines and food items for travellers.

Eleven stores have already been opened in collaboration with the Polish fuel-station network, Wasbruk. Director of convenience stores at Carrefour Polska, Michał Florkiewicz, said, "Currently, we have prepared and tested on the Polish market a new concept of the store dedicated to petrol station owners.

"Thanks to the new offer, they can now offer their customers a much wider range of products and services and a more comprehensive offer than before," Florkiewicz added. Carrefour is also looking out for other fuel operators interested in running stores in this format.

Recently, Carrefour also added three new formats - Express convenience, Express Mini Market and Globi - to its portfolio of residential stores.
