Oel-Pool takes over BP's network of service stations in Switzerland

The Aargau fuel trader Oel-Pool, through its subsidiary Moveri, takes over BP's network of service stations and supply structure in Switzerland.

Without revealing the financial outlines, the firm of Suhr ensures that the operation gives it the status of the first supplier of service stations in the country. The buyout concerns 330 stations, 120 of which were already operated by Moveri, a spokesperson told AWP.

The BP brand will continue to be operated by the new owner and around 30 employees of the Swiss branch of the British oil juggernaut will be taken over. The transaction remains conditional on the approval of the Competition Commission (Comco).

Oel-Pool operates 330 Ruedi Rüssel and Miniprix stations in Switzerland, as well as 200 under the BP and Shell colours.
