Albert Heijn and bp roll-out Albert Heijn ‘to go’ at bp retail sites

Albert Heijn ‘to go’ opens at bp Vliete on the A58 near Krabbendijke (Zeeland). It marks the start of the roll-out of Albert Heijn ‘to go’ at bp retail sites in the Netherlands following a successful pilot.

Bp Vliete is the 10th store to open on a bp retail site. Throughout the remainder of 2021 a Albert Heijn ‘to go’ will be added to a bp retail site every week, bringing the total number of locations to 24 by the end of the year.

A further 80 will be added in 2022. With this, Albert Heijn and bp are expanding their partnership to more than 100 retail sites across the country.

Together with bp and Albert Heijn’s knowledge and long-standing expertise customers will be able to enjoy tasty, fresh food and drinks for on the road: with a fresh range that is fully tailored to the needs of the motorist.

The Albert Heijn ‘to go’ shop at bp retail sites offers customers a wide choice of freshly prepared food – hot and cold on order – and drinks for on the road, such as barista quality coffee, freshly made sandwiches, salads, croissants, and snacks, as well as fresh fruit and vegetable juices. Customers can still purchase their trusted car care products, such as Castrol engine oil and windscreen washer fluid.

The partnership seamlessly fits with the ambition of Albert Heijn to be there for customers anywhere and everywhere: around the corner and on the road, for example at train stations, colleges, hospitals, and petrol stations.

For bp, the partnership underpins the delivery of its convenience strategy to redefine and grow its convenience offer globally, offering motorists everything they need at easily accessible locations, with extensive opening hours. Details of the roll-out in 2022 will be announced later.
