EP Petroecuador and Primax SA signs a 15 year agreement

The Public Company Petroecuador and Primax SA signed a contract for the reception, transportation, storage and dispatch service of petroleum products , for a period of 15 years.

This act was attended by the Vice Minister of Hydrocarbons, María Cristina Cadena; the General Manager (S) of EP Petroecuador, Pablo Luna; the Technical Coordinator of Hydrocarbon Regulation and Control of the Agency for the Regulation and Control of Energy and Non-Renewable Natural Resources, Mónica Ortiz; the General Manager of Primax, Karl Marx Castillo, among other authorities.

Vice Minister of Hydrocarbons, Maria Cristina Cadena, said that "his is an important step to realize the goals outlined in Executive Order 95, for the benefit of the country, because through the signing of this contract bases are strengthened to energize the fuel market and direct firm processes to commercialize higher quality products for the benefit of Ecuadorians ” , he said.

For his part, the General Manager (S) of EP Petroecuador, Pablo Luna, highlighted that the collection of rates will be established by the Agency for the Regulation and Control of Energy and Non-Renewable Natural Resources, "there is a different rate for the use of each infrastructure segment, which in turn allows EP Petroecuador to charge differently.

Additionally, there is the option of the single rate of USD 0.027665 per gallon , which will be applicable, as long as the distribution of the product is complied with in all the terminals that were considered for setting the rate ”.

For the execution of this contract, the oil docks of Esmeraldas, La Libertad and Tres Bocas may be used, in addition to the pipelines, terminals and refineries, all these assets belonging to EP Petroecuador . It is important to emphasize that the signing of these contracts only implies the use of EP Petroecuador's facilities, in accordance with the company's operational programming.
