BWG Foods and Greenergy agree new partnership

BWG Foods has announced a new partnership with Greenergy in Ireland. Greenergy’s retail offer includes the Inver and Amber brands, combining a reliable fuel supply with two trusted and well-known Irish brands to sustain a growing service station network.

As part of the new partnership, Greenergy said that it will integrate convenience stores across a number of new and existing forecourt retail sites, with BWG Foods supplying food and beverages across grocery, chilled, impulse, foodservice and alcohol categories.

Commenting on the announcement, Chris O’Callaghan, head of Greenergy in Ireland, (pictured) said, “As we continue to make investments to our forecourt network, combining BWG’s convenience offering with our retail brands ensures we are continuing to deliver quality products to our customers."

"In the coming months BWG’s SPAR brand will become a part of our forecourt offering in over 20 stations. It is the beginning of an exciting journey that highlights our commitment to meeting the needs of the Irish road user". Under the new partnership, the first of these sites is the newly built Inver Macroom Junction service station.

Greenergy said that it's planning further investment to its forecourt network in key locations across Ireland, with Mallow, Co. Cork and Slieverue, Co. Kilkenny to open in the coming months.

Commenting for BWG Foods, John Moane, chief commercial officer, (pictured) said, “Greenergy have very clear growth ambitions as evidenced by the continued investment across their expansive network, and we’re delighted to be partnering with them at this exciting time for their business."

"We’re now looking forward to working closely with all the team to position their forecourts as destinations of choice within their communities and amongst road users," he concluded.
