Shell on fast track to expand EV charging footprint in China

Company has multiplied the number of terminals in China over a year and is targeting more with JV partners

Shell is quickly responding to China’s energy transition amid the rapid growth of electric vehicles, in a bid to help the country’s decarbonisation drive by switching to EVs.

The UK supermajor's efforts are meant to decarbonise and electrify China’s growing EV fleets by providing integrated charging infrastructure and services.

In China, corporate cars, taxis and fleets are electrifying at a rapid pace to help the world’s largest energy consumer achieve its carbon emissions peak in 2030 and carbon neutrality in 2060.
