True Blue car wash expands with strategic Arizona acquisition

True Blue Car Wash LLC has announced the successful acquisition of six additional Clean Freak Car Wash locations in Arizona, bringing the number of car wash units now owned by the company to 34, according to a press release.

With the purchase closed in mid-October, True Blue expanded its Arizona footprint to 12 individual express car wash sites, located strategically throughout the Valley of the Sun metro area, the release continued.

Subsequent acquisitions of the remaining Clean Freak units are being contemplated over the next two years, the release added. True Blue began its acquisition foray into the car wash industry 3.5 years ago with the initial purchase of five Clean Freak stores in Phoenix, including the company’s flagship location at airport nexus 44th St. and McDowell, the release stated.

The newly purchased facilities are distributed between the East Valley (Mesa), West County (Sun City), Central Phoenix (Thomas), North Phoenix (Union Hills) and fast-growing Casa Grande, which is south of Maricopa County and just off the I-10 corridor, the release noted.

In addition to its growing presence in Arizona, True Blue currently owns and operates express car washes as well as several full-serve washes in the states of Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts and Rhode Island, the release continued.

Stu Crum, CEO of True Blue, expressed excitement for the deal and looks forward to acquiring the remaining Clean Freak locations over the next 24 months, the release noted. Hired in February, Crum has placed True Blue on a rapid growth trajectory; he anticipates additional closings will be announced in Q1 2020, the release stated.

All True Blue-owned facilities in Arizona will retain the Clean Freak brand name, the release concluded.
