Poland's PKN Orlen petroleum corporation has opened its first fuel station under the Orlen brand in Germany. In Germany Orlen already operates about 600 stations under the Orlen-Star brand.
According to the company, the move is an important step in its efforts to gain more leverage on European markets. The first Orlen station is located in Seeberg-Ost near Berlin. The site also offers a shop and ready-to-eat meals.
In a statement, Orlen said that in connection with the coronavirus epidemic the new station is subject to the same safety standards as its Polish counterparts.
