Revenue Group to provide e-wallet services at Caltex stations

Cashless payment solutions provider, Revenue Group Bhd has teamed up with Chevron Malaysia Ltd to provide electronic wallet services at all Caltex petrol stations.

In a recent joint statement, they said Revenue will deploy smart digital payment terminals at more than 420 Caltex petrol stations to accept local e-wallet payments from Touch ‘n Go eWallet, Boost and GrabPay.

Chevron Malaysia owns and markets the retail brand Caltex in Malaysia. The installation of the smart digital payment terminals at the stations is expected to be completed end of this month.

Chevron Malaysia country chairman Jay Gomez said this collaboration enables it to offer more and safer payment choices for customers. He said the group’s key focus was to ensure it has industry-leading payment systems in place for the customers.

“We are very pleased to be working with Revenue to introduce e-wallet payments at our petrol stations. These digital upgrades enhance the customer experience at Caltex by allowing motorists to refuel and pay with their mobile phones,” Gomez added.

Revenue managing director and group CEO Eddie Ng Chee Siong (pictured) said the partnership is timely as more consumers are shifting towards digital payments due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

“This partnership with Caltex expands our merchant footprint and is in line with our longstanding aim to drive cashless adoption in the country,” he added.

Revenue's three business segments are the distribution, deployment, and maintenance of electronic Data Capture (EDC) terminals, electronic transaction processing services for credit and debit cards as well as solutions and services related to payment infrastructure. As to-date, Revenue manages more than 70,000 EDC terminals nationwide.
