Rompetrol Moldova opened 10 stations in the first half of 2016

Rompetrol Moldova, a subsidiary of KMG International, opened 10 stations in the first semester, operating now a network of 75 distribution points with 35 stores. The company expects to complete another 5 stations before the end of the year, thus consolidating its position on the local fuel distribution market.

The works consisted in building three new stations and upgrading existing ones, to reflect the elements of new KMG International distribution concept launched in 2013 in Romania. Thus, in addition to the alignment of all the Rompetrol brand features, stores were built in each station and the infrastructure of the filling stations was overhauled, from underground tanks to fuel distribution pumps.

Rompetrol Moldova is a top importer in the Republic of Moldova and among the first three retail fuel distributors on the local market. Rompetrol Moldova has the largest coverage in the city of Chisinau, with more than half of all stations located in the capital, being the leader in this area as compared to other major petroleum product operators in the Republic of Moldova.

Rompetrol Moldova has been active on the local market since 2002 and has more than 700 employees. It is also the first oil company of the Republic of Moldova operating in accordance with ISO international standards, being awarded a quality, environmental and occupational health management certification in 2012
