A fuel station in Russia found an unconventional way to promote their low cost fuel - offering a free tank of fuel to bikini clad women. The publicity stunt took place in the city of Samara in south-west Russia, where local media flocked to take pictures. The three-hour promo was organised by the station’s owners to show off their “attractive prices" with customers queuing all the way down the street to take advantage of the offer.
The stunt however received plenty of backlash online with one user saying: "This is what an economic crisis does to people." erpecnews live says "Quite bizarre but it shows retailers everywhere will do anything to beat an economic downturn" Ed.
