ORLEN Deutschland GmbH and the Deutsche Post DHL Group are expanding the Packstation network throughout Germany at the almost 600 star and ORLEN petrol stations. The goal is to double the current offer of around 160 Packstations to over 300 by 2023. This year, the plan is to expand by 50 stations.
“In addition to providing a range of reliable and affordable quality fuels, it is important to us to offer our customers additional services at our star and ORLEN petrol stations. The DHL Packstations are well received and we are excited about the prospect of having a DHL Packstation at more than half of our petrol stations in future,” says Piotr Guział, Chief Development Officer of ORLEN Deutschland GmbH.
“Generally, the DHL Packstations are located in everyday central places, such as supermarkets, petrol stations or also on company premises. We are thus bringing our service even closer to our customers and making parcel shipping and receiving even more climate-friendly,” says Holger Bartels, Head of Multi-Channel Sales in the Post and Parcel Division of the Deutsche Post DHL Group. By 2023, DHL wants to expand the Packstation network to 15,000 machines nationwide.

The company was founded in March 2003. It is a 100% subsidiary of the Polish multi-energy corporation PKN ORLEN S.A. and part of the international ORLEN Group. The company currently operates almost 600 star and ORLEN petrol stations on the German market. ORLEN Deutschland GmbH, based in Elmshorn, is one of the ten largest petrol station operators in Germany and has been the main sponsor of German handball record champion THW Kiel since 2016.
