Rolande and bp have opened a joint filling station on the Europaweg in Bodegraven, aimed at freight traffic.
Rolande offers LNG and bio-LNG, bp supplies other fuels such as diesel and Adblue.
The petrol station symbolises the sustainability drive that takes place in the transport of goods.
"LNG is already more sustainable than diesel*," says Jolon van der Schuit, CEO of Rolande. "With bio-LNG, heavy road transport even saves up to 100 percent in CO2 emissions compared to diesel.
In this way, bio-LNG contributes substantially to the European Commission's objective of operating climate neutrally by 2050."
