Orlen launches hydrogen educational programme in Poland

The Hydrogen Academy initiative is part of the strategic plans of PKN Orlen, which has ambitions to become the leader of the hydrogen economy in Central and Eastern Europe. Paid internships have been prepared for the best participants of the program.

The programme addresses students and university graduates. 30 participants have been invited to participate in the Hydrogen Academy, who will gain knowledge and practical skills in the field of hydrogen production and its use, m.in. as a transport fuel.

Daniel Obajtek, President of the Management Board of PKN Orlen commented "Hydrogen is the fuel of the future, one of the important areas of the Orlen Group's strategy, on the development of which we plan to spend almost PLN 2030.7 billion by 5. That is why we focus on young, talented and ambitious people who will help us implement this strategy. The Hydrogen Academy is the first initiative of this kind in Poland".

For its participants, it will be a pass to engage in specific activities for the energy transformation of our region. The best graduates will be able to take paid internships at PKN Orlen, which was the first company in this part of Europe to announce a plan to achieve climate neutrality by 2050.
