Gen Z coming to petrol station near you soon

In just a few years, GenZ will become the most important buyer group in Germany. The petrol station supplier MCS is taking this fact as an opportunity to show at the "Tankstelle & Mittelstand" trade fair in Essen from June 14-15, how petrol station operators can reach those born between 1997 and 2012.

The TANKSTELLE & MITTELSTAND trade fair is the oldest trade fair for the petrol station markets in Germany and these are the focal points of the exhibition:

Future petrol station / IT / Consulting / Shop & Bistro / Services and associations / Convenience / Washing / Technology / Capital goods

On the basis of an online survey on GenZ, in which 1,000 participants were interviewed on behalf of MCS, the convenience wholesaler has developed special ideas for the Gen Z group. This includes various product bundles and placement suggestions, which visitors can view at booth B08 in hall 7.

Smart store as an additional opportunity for the petrol station

The Smart Store will also be located at the MCS booth. The 20-foot-long container from the provider Kesseböhmer is an affordable and easy-to-implement way to offer customers a shopping opportunity at hybrid stations or at pure vending machine filling stations and thus generate additional shop sales.

At the same time, in view of the industry-wide shortage of skilled workers, the smart store is an interesting alternative to the manned shop. The container is completely stocked with goods and offers the possibility to simulate the payment process at the trade fair.
