$5 million drive-through, food outlet coming to Australia

A busy service station in Australia will undergo a $5 million redevelopment which will incorporate a drive-through takeaway store and coffee shop.

Developer Hallmark Property announced details of the expansion of the existing Shell and Coles Express in Toowoomba. Demolition of the existing site will start in late February, with the site expected to re-open in September.

The redeveloped site will be reconfigured and re-tanked to provide eight bowsers with 16 fill locations, each with five grades of fuel including diesel, offering 24-hour fuel and convenience shopping.

Signalling confidence in the Toowoomba economy, two popular Toowoomba brands - Pump drive-thru coffee and gourmet café and Stoney the Fishmonger - are expanding and opening stores at the redeveloped location.
