Transformation of fuel stations to energy hubs by Scheidt & Bachmann

Scheidt & Bachmann showed intelligent solutions for the transformation of petrol stations into mobility hubs at the recent trade fair in Essen Germany, Tankstelle & Mittlestand.

After 4 years of waiting, we were able to present our products and solutions to our customers at Tankstelle & Mittelstand. The mobility revolution and the changing consumer behaviour of customers have a strong influence on the range of products and services offered at petrol stations.

Current topics such as "Multi Energy" and "Multi Services" contribute to the fact that the customer journey at petrol stations will change significantly. With our SIQMA product portfolio, we have therefore created solutions that help petrol station operators to improve the customer journey at the petrol station and pave the way to the mobility hub of the future.

SIQMA PowerPay for connection to charging stations

The outstanding highlight was our outdoor payment kiosk solution SIQMA PowerPay for connection to charging stations. This innovative solution improves the user experience and helps to increase the efficiency of the charging stations. SIQMA PowerPay is our streamlined solution for centralised payment at a single point for all connected charging stations.

Your customers pay conveniently and centrally at a PCI-certified card terminal. No additional investment is required to equip each individual charging station with a card terminal. In addition to debit/credit card payments, contactless and mobile payments are also possible. The illuminated barcode scanner can be used to read QR codes, e.g. to redeem vouchers as part of a promotional campaign.

In addition, we have also presented the possibility of billing charging stations via the petrol station cash register. This integration creates synergies between the different areas of petrol station operations and simplifies the management of the charging infrastructure. Petrol station operators can seamlessly integrate charging station billing into their existing POS system and benefit from central administration and billing.

Pay for charging just like other shop purchases

There are also benefits for the customer, who can pay for the charging process in the same way as they pay for other shop purchases. The charging process can be paid for in the same way as a normal fuel purchase - even in cash if desired.

The SIQMA Smoove self-service terminals, our self-checkout solution for petrol station shops, and SIQMA OPT, our tried-and-tested outdoor payment terminal, also take the Multi Energy concept into account and allow payment for all known fuels, including electric car charging.

Our self-checkout systems allow customers to pay for their purchases independently and conveniently. By reducing queues and speeding up the checkout process, they increase customer satisfaction and optimise operating costs of the petrol station. Our self-checkout solutions are user-friendly and intuitively designed to ensure a smooth shopping experience.

Full catering functionality

The SIQMA POS cash register solution now also includes full catering functionality. Orders in the bistro area can be booked to the individual tables and then settled table by table. For buffet restaurants, the POS offers a corresponding configuration, so that the menus can be selected simply by means of fast seller keys, which makes the cashier's work much easier.

The response to our products and solutions at the show was overwhelmingly positive. A large number of industry professionals and trade visitors showed great interest in the innovations on display. We made many valuable contacts and explored new business opportunities.
