New era for Latvian fuel retailer

Latvian fuel company Virši is making a significant shift in its retail strategy by unveiling its first new-concept store in the heart of Riga city centre. This bold move marks a unique transformation in the company’s approach to customer service, aiming to redefine the conventional shopping experience.

Virši was founded in 1995 when the first filling station was opened in Aizkraukle, while currently, it operates a total of 63 stations, with the strongest presence in the Vidzeme region, followed by Riga, Latgale, Kurzeme, and Zemgale.

Revamping the Shopping Experience

The new Virši store accentuates the company’s emphasis on quality, speed, and convenience, tailored to meet the evolving needs of today’s consumers. Distinguishing itself from traditional stores, the new establishment houses a fresh produce section at the entrance, greeting customers with a vibrant array of fruits and vegetables.

The innovative layout is designed to enhance the shopping experience, transforming it into an enjoyable journey rather than a mundane task.

The store also features a salad bar and a fresh juice bar, catering to the growing demand for healthy dining options. In addition to this, it offers a wide range of ready-to-eat meals and a selection of quality food products, including local and imported goods.

To improve service and efficiency, the store is equipped with self-service checkouts, designed to expedite the payment process and reduce waiting times.
